MINERAL-ME SHIP-BORNE RADAR COMPLEX

 

Mineral-ME ship-borne radar complex is intended for surface surveillance; over-the-horizon early detection and tracking of surface targets; automatic reception and processing of information on surface situation from carriers equipped with interfaced systems; reception and processing of information from outside sources (сommand automated management systems, observation posts); control of joint operations of the carriers, equipped with interfaced systems; generation and output of surface targets designation data to missile weapon command systems of shipborne and land-based missile systems, to shipborne artillery and torpedo weapon systems.

Mineral-ME complex fulfills the following tasks:

 

  • radar surveillance of surface situation in the given coverage area by means of its own facilities of active and passive radiolocation;
  • detection and tracking of surface targets;
  • determination of coordinates (bearing, range) and motion parameters of the tracked targets;
  • automatic reception, processing and presentation of information on surface situation, received from interfaced systems, installed on land-based facilities or ships of a tactical group and from outside information sources (command automated management systems, remote observation posts, located on ships, helicopters and other aircrafts) with the use of outside facilities of radio communication;
  • reception, processing and presentation of information on surface situation, received from shipborne sources of information: command information systems, radar stations, navigation radars, hydroacoustic systems;
  • management of joint operations of the ships of a tactical group;
  • state identification of tracked targets by IFF system by means of built-in antennae;
  • output of surface target designation data to missile weapon control systems of shipborne and land-based missile systems, to shipborne artillery and torpedo weapon systems;
  • automatic management of operating modes depending on tactical situation;
  • automatic serviceability check and troubleshooting;
  • interface with navigation and stabilization system;
  • documentation of information concerning tracked targets, elaborated decisions, status of interfaced systems;
  • training of personnel in operation under simulated conditions.

Mineral-ME complex includes the following radio-technical facilities:

 

  • Mineral-ME1 active radar station;
  • Mineral-ME2 passive radar station;
  • Mineral-ME3 station for data exchange, relative orientation and joint military operations control.

 

Key Specifications:

 

  • detection range of surface targets by the active radar is up to 250 km (depending on radar observability);
  • detection range of emitting radars by the passive radar is from 80 to 450 km (depending on the range).
